What age does your savings rate buy?
Type what arrives each month, what leaves, and what you have invested. The ship computes the age your savings rate actually reaches, and the rate the age you want would cost. It runs the same math as the Project FIRE Command Center, and nothing you type leaves this page.
One more point of savings rate brings it about 8 months sooner.

The card updates as you type. Right-click it, or press and hold on a phone, to save it. It shows the age and the rate, never your income or balances.
The same arithmetic your Command Center runs.
- Savings rate is what you keep out of everything that arrives, with payroll investing counted on both sides, because that money never touched your bank.
(take-home − spending + payroll) ÷ (take-home + payroll) - FIRE number is a year of spending divided by the withdrawal rate. At 4% that is 25 years of spending.
- Years to FIRE grows what you have invested and adds what you save every month, at the real return, until it reaches the FIRE number. It is the FIRE_Calculator tab's own formula.
- The age your rate buys and the rate your age needs are the Expenses tab's savings-rate block, solved in both directions. Spending less does two jobs at once: more is invested, and less is needed.
- Every number is in today's dollars, every saved dollar is assumed invested, and nothing is taxed or inflated. Those are the Command Center's documented simplifications.
Your Command Center reads this every month.
This page answers one question. The Command Center is the free Google Sheet that runs it with your actual income, spending, debts and accounts, and updates the date as your life changes. Core Mission 1 on YouTube fills it in with you, one instrument at a time.
On the first of every month, Mission Control sends one email: read three numbers off your Dashboard, make one small correction. Join the Flight Program.
Project FIRE is an educational series, not financial advice. Results assume a constant real return and withdrawal rate; markets do not move in straight lines. Your inputs stay in your browser.
